FIRE MARSHAL

The role of the fire warden or marshal in the workplace is critical to keep people and property safe from the danger and consequences of fire. The nominated person must have essential Fire Warden/Marshal Training to ensure they understand their role and their duties within the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. From a small office to a multi-team construction site, communication, knowledge and information are critical in minimising the effects of fire and promoting a culture of fire safety.

This certification delivers the necessary skills, knowledge, and thorough understanding of fire safety, associated legislation, and the roles and responsibilities of their duties as Fire Warden or Marshal.

Theory-based exercises and tutorials take learners through fire safety, their role as a warden or marshal, and why they are essential.

Our occupationally and technically-experienced trainers coach learners on this course, completing the session with a question and answer paper. They must pass the assessment to qualify for Fire Marshal certification, valid for up to three years.  

This training is essential for anyone wanting to work as a fire safety professional in their industry. Learners will review legal requirements, ensure safety compliance, and understand procedures, appropriate documentation and classifications.

The course content includes:

• Legal obligations and responsibilities of the employer and employee
• The nature of fire, flame spread, and extinction
• How to reduce the risk of fire
• Understanding means of escape from fire
• What to do in the event of a fire
• The selection and safe use of fire extinguishers
• The role of the Fire Warden/Marshal

At the end of the training, successful learners will have an understanding of fire safety, fire prevention and the role of the Fire Warden or Marshal.

On successful completion of the course, learners receive their certification, valid for up to three years.   

Fire Warden and Marshall training is essential for any employee with responsibility for fire procedures within their organisation.  

The training is a half-day session, finishing with a short written assessment.

This course is theory-based, but delegates must inform their trainer if they have any serious health issues, physical problems, special considerations or are taking any medication which may create difficulties. 

There are no prerequisites for this course, and delegates can do so with no previous knowledge.
