The ideal tool for cutting small sections of hardcore material such as stone, concrete and steel, petrol cut-off saws, or chop saws as they are sometimes known allows operators to cut through tough materials with a hand-held power tool.
Wearing appropriate PPE is vital when operating a petrol driven cut off saw; as used incorrectly, it poses a high risk and plenty of opportunities for injury. Operators are at risk of harm from loud noise, metal, stone and potentially toxic dust, poor ventilation, mishandling, and fuel handling, so safety training and accident prevention are essential for a smooth operation.
This Abrasive Wheels with Handheld Driven Cut Off Saw qualification enables learners to demonstrate skill, knowledge, and competence in using a petrol driven cut off saw.
Through a mix of practical and theory-based exercises and tutorials, learners will cover manufacturer and general knowledge and awareness of abrasive wheel cutting equipment and participate in practical activities to learn best practices and operating methods to use them.
