MANUAL HANDLING

Introduction to qualification

Like driving, manual handling techniques often deteriorate over time, falling victim to bad habits and the desire to just ‘get a job done’. But manual handling is a significant contributor to workplace injuries, with musculoskeletal disorders common in the long-term and accidents from incorrect handling causing breaks, sprains and strains in short. With most employees across all sectors manually handling in some way, the best way for employers to reduce the risk of accident and injury in their workforce is with regular, compulsory, high-quality training.

This training course delivers the necessary skills, knowledge, and understanding of safe manual handling techniques. It is for anyone needing practical and theory-based training and assessment to work safely.
