This includes aqueducts, dams, bridges, canals, highways, power plants, sewerage systems, airports, railways and more. Managing construction sites is a critical obligation with a duty of care and responsibility for the operational teams and project success.
The Totally Training Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management – Building and Civil Engineering qualification enables Learners to fully demonstrate and recognise skills, knowledge and understanding by demonstrating competence in their working environment.
The qualification prepares Learners for work in a management role.

While producing a portfolio of evidence, delegates will show how they have met each unit's performance and knowledge criteria required within the qualification, as directed by their Assessor.
To complete this qualification, Learners must successfully achieve all nineteen mandatory units and one optional unit.

Upon successfully completing this qualification, Learners will have the skills, knowledge, understanding, and competence to progress to a higher-level qualification in the same or similar occupational area.
As a result of completing the Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management – Building and Civil Engineering, Learners who have an in-date CITB Managers and Professionals Health, Safety and Environmental Test can apply for the CSCS Manager Black Card.
Those currently working or moving into a management role and require a CSCS Manager Black card and a nationally recognised qualification.
Times can vary due to Learners' experience and circumstances. We advise between 6 and 24 months from induction to complete this qualification.

Before enrolling on the course, Learners must ensure they can provide the necessary evidence within their role to achieve All performance requirements stated in the qualification standards.
Once the Learner has completed their NVQ and obtained their CSCS Manager Black Card, their CSCS card is valid for Five Years. It can be renewed with an in-date CITB Managers and Professionals Health and Safety Test, renewing it for another Five Years.
