A senior manager is typically responsible for planning, nurturing and directing the work and development of a group of employees. Senior managers can guide workers directly or often direct several supervisors and managers who directly manage the operational workforce.
A senior site manager oversees a construction site to ensure projects are completed on time through effective budget management, client coordination and worker supervision and development. They will also uphold and maintain quality standards and controls, manage risk and be responsible for multiple employees at any one time.
The Totally Training Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Construction Senior Management qualification enables Learners to fully demonstrate and recognise skills, knowledge and understanding by demonstrating competence in their working environment.
The qualification prepares Learners for work in a senior management/director role.
Totally Training assess Learners against performance and knowledge statements from the recommended qualification structure. While producing a portfolio of evidence, delegates will show how they have met each unit's performance and knowledge criteria required within the qualification, as directed by their Assessor.
To complete this qualification, Learners must successfully achieve all eleven mandatory units and five optional units.

Upon successfully completing this qualification, Learners will have the skills, knowledge, understanding, and competence to progress to a higher-level qualification in the same or similar occupational area.
As a result of completing the Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Construction Senior Management, Learners who have an in-date CITB Managers and Professionals Health, Safety and Environmental Test can apply for the CSCS Manager Black Card.
Those currently working or moving into a senior management or director role and require a CSCS Manager Black card and a nationally recognised qualification.
Times can vary due to Learners' experience and circumstances. We advise between 6 and 24 months from induction to complete this qualification.

Before enrolling on the course, Learners must ensure they can provide the necessary evidence within their role to achieve All performance requirements stated in the qualification standards.
Once the Learner has completed their NVQ and obtained their CSCS Manager Black Card, their CSCS card is valid for Five Years. It can be renewed with an in-date CITB Managers and Professionals Health and Safety Test, renewing it for another Five Years.
